This fully functional historical reproduction is crafted after a sword design which was prominent in medieval Europe in the 16th Century and is representative of an Oakeshott Type XXa with its narrow blade and multiple fullers. Two of the fullers run parallel to each other near the hilt while a third sits alone in the middle third of the blade. With an overall length of 42 inches, the sword is long but nevertheless light enough to permit quick, shearing strikes with the finely tempered steel 33.5 inch blade. The handle features a lightweight steel guard and pommel along with a leather wrapped hilt that offers a comfortable grip, the sword feels great in the hand. A great sword to add to any collection, it includes a FREE leather sheath with its own leather belt measuring approximately 50 inches around.
