Description

Popular for its close-fit styling, the bascinet began replacing the great helm in the late 13th century. The conical pigface design directs blows down and away from the skull and face. Hand-forged from high quality 18 gauge low carbon mild steel and adorned with brass accents, the helmet features a versatile side-pivot mount system. The visor can be completely removed if desired via the detachable hinge pins at each side of the helmet. The visor features 28 breathing holes for ventilation and with wide eye slits that ensure the wearer improved eye-line visibility. The fully adjustable interior lining is made from high quality genuine leather and it ensures that the helmet fits comfortably. Weighs about 4.6 pounds. Measures about 9 1/2″ high. 26 3/4″ forehead circumfrence.
