Description
This piece of armor is a detailed recreation of the types used by the Romans as they conquered the known world. The plated Lorica Segmentata and the Lorica Hamata were earlys form of chainmail armor with style and design well before their time. While the original suits were made from bronze or iron, this superb replica features alternating rows of 9mm rivets and solid 16 gauge mild steel rings to form a sleeveless shirt that reaches mid-thigh. Lined with premium leather piping, a square-bottomed u-shaped shoulder doubling is attached by a row of rings along the back bottom edge. Riveted to the center of the chest is a pair of S-shaped brasshooks which can be hooked onto a stud on each flap. This set is fully wearable but can also be used as an attractive display piece. This item comes oiled to ensure quality upon arrival. Cheast measures 60″ across. Designed to be worn with traditional protective padded under garments.
