Description
This 14th Century Conical Kettle Helm is crafted from 16 gauge steel; the inside of the helm is blackened and it is lined with internal leather suspension that can be adjusted to best fit the head. A chin strap of leather with an adjustable brass buckle completes the helmet.
Although simple in appearance these helms are a good guardsman or infantry helm for their time. The conical top helps to deflect the force of blows and the wide brim helps to keep connecting hits farther away from the head. They also serve to ably deflect arrows from on high from the head, shoulders and torso. The senses are left unobstructed for full awareness.
