Chainmail Skirt – Alternating Dome Riveted Mild Steel Flat Rings

Description

This skirt of chainmail is constructed from dome-riveted flat rings which alternate with solid flat rings. The rings measure 9 mm in diameter and 17 gauge in thickness and are crafted from mild steel. This mail skirt is used with plate armor to provide additional protection – though it can be used as a shortcut to adding length to a mail haubergeon or hauberk.The skirt is tapered at the waist so you would have to add or subtract links to get it symmetrical if you wish to use it as an extension.
