Description
Mid-17th century sapper helmet. Such the pattern was wore by soldiers (sappers or ingenieurs), who were working in the area of fortifications’ walls during sieges, when they were under fire of enemies. This helmet was used in pair with simple, but strong breastplate. The bowl is made with two halfts, fixed with special double fold (historical method). 2mm steel and 1,5 cheeks and peak. The surface is hammered, blackened with beeswax (*5). This is not welded item.
